The present edition of the Pulman report, called "real Pulman country report for Luxembourg", has been created by Luxembourg s librarian association aka ALBAD in February 2003, at the request of the Ministry of Culture, and due to be published on
Unfortunately though we were surprised to discover with great regret that a different report has finally been issued. Furthermore our association noticed that the "new authors" clearly had difficulties to make a basic difference between public and national libraries.
Finally our country wasn t represented properly by professional librarians in Oeiras, Portugal, the 13th and 14th March 2003.
The ALBAD completely disagrees on this non-professional and euphemistic report, which gives a distorted image of Luxembourg.
In fact Luxembourg is a rich country with few and ill equipped libraries.
